Model numbers: SDSSDE61, SDSSDE81
SanDisk Extreme and Extreme PRO Portable SSDs are some of the most widely used portable drives. In 2023 a large number of these drives were reported to suddenly lose data or stop being recognised, and many of them still reach us for recovery.
Which model do you have?
The model number starts with SDSSDE61 for the Extreme Portable SSD V2 and SDSSDE81 for the Extreme PRO Portable SSD V2. It is printed on the back label, followed by the capacity (for example SDSSDE61-1T00).
