Model numbers: My Cloud Home, My Cloud EX2 Ultra, My Cloud PR4100
WD My Cloud units are common home backup devices. Many single-drive My Cloud and My Cloud Home units store data in a Linux format that Windows and macOS can't read directly.

Which model do you have?
The model name is on the label on the base, for example "My Cloud Home Duo" or "My Cloud EX2 Ultra".
Common faults we fix
- Unit not showing on the network
- Solid red or flashing light
- Drive failed inside the unit
- Deleted files and folders
What we recover
- Failed or degraded volumes, including after a failed rebuild
- Individual failed drives from the NAS
- Deleted shares and folders
- Units that no longer boot or appear on the network
Before you bring it in
Switch it off and don't run repair tools, rebuilds or "initialise" options. Every attempt can overwrite data or make recovery harder.
NAS data recovery prices
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Free initial consultation | Free |
| 2-drive NAS (for example 1TB + 1TB) with one drive to repair | £450 + VAT (£540 inc. VAT) |
| QNAP or Synology RAID 5 NAS | £650 + VAT (£780 inc. VAT) |
The free consultation tells you whether the fault is physical or logical and the best way to recover your data. It doesn't include opening the drive in the cleanroom or any recovery attempt.
Larger NAS units and RAID 6 or RAID 10 volumes are priced like RAID recovery.
We can supply an external drive to return your recovered data on. The price depends on the market rate at the time.
See our full data recovery price list.
