We recover data from NAS (network attached storage) units used at home and in small offices, whether the NAS itself has failed, a volume has crashed, or drives have failed.

NAS makes we recover
- Synology DiskStation, including SHR and Btrfs volumes
- QNAP TS and TVS series, including ransomware incidents
- WD My Cloud, Buffalo LinkStation and TeraStation, Netgear ReadyNAS
- Drobo, Asustor and TerraMaster, Apple Time Capsule and Seagate NAS
Before you bring it in
Don't rebuild, re-initialise or swap disks around. Label each drive with its bay number, power the unit down and bring all the drives in. A rebuild onto a failing disk is the most common way RAID data is lost for good.
Common problems
- Volume crashed or degraded
- NAS won't boot or can't be found on the network
- Drives failed during a rebuild
- Ransomware encrypted the shares
- Deleted shares or folders
NAS data recovery prices
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Free initial consultation | Free |
| 2-drive NAS (for example 1TB + 1TB) with one drive to repair | £450 + VAT (£540 inc. VAT) |
| QNAP or Synology RAID 5 NAS | £650 + VAT (£780 inc. VAT) |
The free consultation tells you whether the fault is physical or logical and the best way to recover your data. It doesn't include opening the drive in the cleanroom or any recovery attempt.
Larger NAS units and RAID 6 or RAID 10 volumes are priced like RAID recovery.
We can supply an external drive to return your recovered data on. The price depends on the market rate at the time.
See our full data recovery price list.
