The 2016–2017 13-inch MacBook Pro without Touch Bar was the entry model of the first USB-C generation. Most that come in to us have keyboard or display faults.
Which model do you have?
Model number A1708 is printed on the underside. It has two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports on the left side and physical function keys instead of a Touch Bar.
The model number is printed in small grey text on the underside of the case, near the hinge. It starts with the letter A followed by four digits.
Common faults we fix
- Butterfly keyboard keys sticking, repeating or not registering
- Display backlight fading from the bottom edge (the "stage light" effect) caused by a worn display flex cable
- Swollen battery lifting the trackpad or bottom case
- Thunderbolt/USB-C ports that no longer charge or connect

Your data
