The 2018–2019 13-inch MacBook Pro added Apple's T2 security chip and a True Tone display. The keyboard is the third-generation butterfly design, which is quieter but still fails.
Which model do you have?
A1989 is the four-port model (2018 and 2019). A2159 is the 2019 two-port model. Both have a Touch Bar and Touch ID.
The model number is printed in small grey text on the underside of the case, near the hinge. It starts with the letter A followed by four digits.

Your data
The storage on this model is soldered to the logic board and encrypted by Apple's T2 security chip. That means data can only be read back through the original board, so when the Mac won't power on we repair the board first rather than removing the drive. See our no-power data recovery service.
