Which Crucial SSD do you have?
- MX500: 2.5-inch SATA SSD, model numbers such as CT1000MX500SSD1
- P3, P3 Plus, P5 Plus: M.2 NVMe SSDs, model numbers such as CT1000P3SSD8
- X9, X9 Pro, X10 Pro: portable USB-C SSDs
SSDs usually fail without warning: the drive disappears, shows the wrong size or becomes read-only. Don't keep reconnecting it.
